In August 2022, Microsoft released a major update to the MS-600 exam Building Applications and Solutions with Microsoft 365 Core Services . Not only did they change the makeup of the exam, but they boosted one workload, cut another, and added two new ones. And the certification you get once you pass the exam changed from being a certified Microsoft 365 developer Associate, to a Teams Application Developer Associate !
In the last month I published two updates on the course. The first one included a complete re-recording and publication of the chapters providing an overview of the course & the one covering the Microsoft Teams workload . The second release refreshed the other three remaining chapters .
Today, I’m excited to share that this weekend I published a new chapter that covers all aspects of the app development lifecycle that’s covered by two new functional areas in the exam. These new areas of the exam are:
- Design collaborative app solutions & existing app integration
- Test, deploy, monitor, & maintain enterprise-grade app solutions
Check out the preview of this lesson from the video I published to the YouTube channel over the weekend: App design, integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring (chapter preview) .
Originally I said I’d break this up into two chapters, but it made more sense to combine it into a single chapter instead.
The first lesson of this chapter, as well as all other chapters in the course, have been published to our YouTube channel. If you aren’t an existing student in the course, you can watch those right now to get a free preview (use the links above).
For now, the course has been fully refreshed & updated to the current exam state. Later this week, I’m make a few changes to the exam practice questions to address some of the exam reorganization actions Microsoft took (moving SSO for Microsoft Teams tabs & bots from the Teams chapter to the Microsoft identity chapter), as well as add a few questions for meeting apps.
Like usual, I’ll continue to keep my eye on the skills worksheet for any changes Microsoft makes to the exam and update the course accordingly.
